Welcome to Gi x No Gi x Whiskey

The Ultimate Jiu Jitsu Hangout!

A unique event that combines Jiu Jitsu seminars, live training, and whiskey tasting.
About Gi x NoGi x Whiskey
For those ladies and gentlemen who appreciate the finer things in life. For those of us who take both our Jiu Jitsu and whiskey from the top shelf. For the ones that can appreciate the heat of a bourbon and a dust up on the mat… This experience is for you!

The premise is an hour and half session led by a high level Gi expert, an hour and a half session led by a No Gi expert, as well as 30 minute rolling sessions in both Gi and No GI, to be followed by a whiskey tasting as well as catering. The experience is intended to capture the comradery shared after a hard training session by enhancing the moment with premium spirits and a meal, amongst like-minded individuals.

We have brought in two of the very best Jiu Jitsu practitioners to upgrade your Jiu Jitsu skills, regardless of your experience level, and have put together an amazing whiskey lineup to create the ultimate tasting experience.

GI guest

Greg Lapin

Greg has made a living for the past two decades in law enforcement special operations and Government special operations, deploying to war zones throughout the world. He started his Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2005 when he was a New Orleans Police Officer because he understood what violence was and what skills he needed to have to go home at the end of the day. After leaving the police department and going to work for the U.S. Government, Greg trained on and off for several years in between deployments. He was what is known as a 10-year white belt due to not being able to train at a school consistently. During assignment in the United Arab Emirates, Greg began training seriously under Tiago Bravo where he received his blue belt in 2016. He is currently a black belt under Professor Jeremy Umphries. Jiu-Jitsu has changed Greg’s life and his main goal is to expose as many people to the art as possible.

For the dinner and whiskey tasting, you must show a valid ID verifying you are 21 years or older. All other portions are for all ages!

Our host venue, Kindred Jiu Jitsu, does have a couple of showers available and you are more than welcome to use them, though it is recommended to make other arrangements to shower if possible. Doors will open at 11:30am and the first seminar will start at 12pm. There will be an intermission with refreshments from 2-3pm leading to the second seminar. The second seminar will run from 3-5pm. There will be a one hour break to accommodate setup. Dinner will be served at 6pm with the whiskey tasting beginning soon after. The event will end between 8 and 9pm.
